MilliMark vs Strong: which workout app fits your routine?

An honest look at Strong’s workout tools and MilliMark’s free log with an optional wider daily plan.

A gym notebook is a useful starting point

Strong focuses on planning and recording workouts. Its official site lists supersets, custom exercises, timers, CSV export and advanced charts, and availability on iPhone, Android and Apple Watch. If your priority is an established workout notebook or a watch-based workflow, those are concrete reasons to look at Strong. MilliMark’s browser app should not be presented as an equivalent native watch experience.

What you can do in MilliMark

On Free, MilliMark keeps workout logging, manual programs, full workout history, the exercise library, a rest timer, optional cloud records backup and sync, and local backup/export available. You can start with a free account. During a session, you record what you actually lifted and completed; a suggestion is optional. Outside the session, Home brings the day’s tasks and planned workout back into view so you can find the next useful action.

When the wider plan matters

MilliMark Pro adds generated training plans, nutrition targets and food logging, body trends and photos, Calendar and training partners. That may be useful if your current process is split across a workout app, meal notes and separate progress records. It is also reasonable to keep a tool that already works for you. These pages compare workflows, not promises that changing apps will change your results.

Try the parts you use under pressure

Log a normal session in each app. Check how quickly you can correct a load, add a set, start a rest and return to the current exercise. Compare records using the same exercise and equipment, rather than treating every estimated maximum as a new achievement. After the session, find the completed workout and inspect the record you would use next week.

Protect the history you already have

Do not discard your Strong export when trying a different tracker. MilliMark does not promise direct import of every other app’s format. Its local records live in the browser or installed web app you use. Signing in does not retroactively recover a browser record that was cleared without a backup. Cloud records backup is optional and excludes progress photos, which need a full file export. Start with the free log, then assess Pro only if its additional tools fit your routine.
